In the State of the University address, President Bellamkonda announced Ohio State’s partnership with Google Public Sector to establish a space in the Innovation District of the university. This will be one of the first Google spaces on any university campus and enhance Ohio State’s AI Fluency initiative.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) are seeking innovative artificial intelligence approaches to help identify biological threats in complex environmental data. This Challenge invites eligible U.S. innovators, companies, academics, laboratories, and other technology developers to submit algorithmic approaches that can rapidly detect potential biological threat signals, distinguish them from benign environmental background, and provide explainable, confidence-scored results to support follow-on analysis and response.
